Trail Tasks Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Trail Tasks accesses, collects, uses, shares, retains, and deletes user data. It is intended to be read together with any privacy notices or permission disclosures shown inside the Trail Tasks mobile app.

Information Trail Tasks collects

Account information: username, email address, password or authentication credential, and app user ID when you create or sign in to a Trail Tasks account.
App progress and activity: focus sessions, session names or descriptions you enter, session duration, virtual trail mileage, trail progress, tokens, achievements, add-ons, park progress, Wild companion unlock state, and similar in-app gameplay or productivity records.
Subscription information: if you choose Trail Tasks Pro, purchase and entitlement status is processed through Google Play and RevenueCat. Trail Tasks does not receive your full payment card number or bank account details.
Technical and sync information: app version, platform, network connectivity status, sync timestamps, crash/error context, and similar information needed to operate, secure, debug, and improve the app.

Information Trail Tasks does not collect for the current app experience

Trail Tasks does not request or intentionally collect precise device location, contacts, phonebook data, SMS, call logs, camera, microphone, health data, government identification numbers, or financial account numbers.
Trail Tasks does not intentionally collect or link persistent device identifiers such as IMEI, IMSI, or SIM serial number to personal or sensitive user data.
Trail Tasks does not use App Set ID, Android Advertising ID, or similar identifiers for personalized advertising or ad measurement.

How Trail Tasks uses information

To create, authenticate, and maintain your account.
To save your focus sessions, trail progress, rewards, achievements, Wild unlocks, and other app state.
To sync your account data across sessions and devices when online while supporting an offline-first app experience.
To provide, restore, and verify Pro subscription entitlements.
To prevent abuse, troubleshoot bugs, maintain security, and improve reliability.
To respond to support, privacy, or account deletion requests.

Sharing and third-party service providers

Trail Tasks does not sell personal or sensitive user data.
Trail Tasks may share data with service providers only as needed to operate the app, such as hosting/sync infrastructure, Google Play billing, and RevenueCat subscription management.
Google Play may process payment, subscription, device, and transaction information under Google Play's own terms and privacy practices.
RevenueCat may process app user ID, purchase status, entitlement status, product identifiers, platform, and related subscription metadata so Trail Tasks can offer and restore Pro features.
Trail Tasks may disclose information if required to comply with law, legal process, security obligations, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Trail Tasks, users, or others.

Security

Trail Tasks uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect user data. Production network requests are intended to use HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so Trail Tasks cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention and deletion

Trail Tasks keeps account and app progress data while your account is active or as needed to provide the app, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can request deletion of your Trail Tasks account and associated app data from the external deletion page at trailtasks.app/account-deletion or by emailing support@trailtasks.app.

When Trail Tasks deletes an account in response to a verified request, associated account data and synced app data are deleted unless limited retention is required for legitimate reasons such as security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, transaction records, or dispute resolution. Account freezing is not used as a substitute for deletion.

Children's privacy

Trail Tasks is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended for child-directed use. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Trail Tasks, contact support@trailtasks.app so the information can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

International users

Depending on where you live, you may have privacy rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing of your personal information. To exercise privacy rights, contact support@trailtasks.app. Trail Tasks will respond consistent with applicable law.

Changes to this policy

Trail Tasks may update this Privacy Policy when app features, data practices, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
